BETHLEHEM, Pa. –
Bethlehem is celebrating the successes in one of its neighborhoods and looking forward to more in the future.
Thursday city leaders talked about the progress that’s been made to Bethlehem’s eastern gateway.
That’s the area near the Daly Avenue and 4th Street split on the southside.
One of the biggest additions to the area is the Skateplaza and soon a new $30,000 grant will bring an enhancement to that park.
“Starting in the spring there will be a gathering place and a plaza built next to the existing skate park. That’s an immediate change and something that people will see under construction and have high visibility,” said Mayor John Callahan.
Other improvements in the area include a new bus enclosure and new benches near Donegan Elementary.
